Obituary, Glenda E. Brown, 72

Mrs. Brown was a member of a beloved Sulphur Well, KY family and of the Sulphur Well United Methodist Church. She and her husband operated Brown's Grocery in the Metcalfe County Community for many years

Glenda E. Brown, age 72, of Sulphur Well, KY, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at the home of her daughter in Elizabethtown, KY.

Funeral services will be held 11:00amCT, Friday, November 6, 2009, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Hiser Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00pmCT until 8:00pmCT, Thursday, November 5, 2009, and after 9:00amCT, Friday, at the funeral home.


She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Nora Mae Mitchell Thompson.

Glenda along with her late husband Boyce Dale owned and operated Brown's Grocery in Sulphur Well.

She was a member of the Sulphur Well Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Twyman of Elizabethtown, KY, and Rhonda South of Bowling Green; and by one brother, Ruel Thompson of Horse Cave, KY.
