Comment: Keeping it simple one of CM's most attractive features

Ed,

The fact that you are keeping ColumbiaMagazine simple is one of its most attractive features. Some newspaper sites I have visited may have wonderful information but they are so complicated that I sometimes say, so what!

Of course I don't know any of the people whose obituaries appear, but the notices are a very important part of any newspaper. I think some editors fail to understand that and only give them about half the attention they should get.

The story about the chiropractor story about the chiropractor resonated with me. I'm not much on drinking water, either, but I do like tea. And my chiropractor always kept insisting that I breathe. Shallow breaths didn't satisfy her.

I am happy to hear that some of the data-entering work is more automated so you will have more time for more creative work and also for creative play. Come to think of it, the first haiku I wrote yesterday has those words:

Work and play and love
like there is no tomorrow
for there might not be.

Thanks for a wonderful newspaper.

Thanks so much for the comments. And thanks for your wonderful poetry and your editorial help. It is much appreciated. The credit for the simple style of ColumbiaMagazine.com is due the webmaster, Pen, the unsung hero of ColumbiaMagazine, who does everything from setting a standard on photography, to editing, to creating clickstorms which benefit the whole community. And credit for the quality of ColumbiaMagazine.com is due in no small part to the great writers you've discovered for us in Hart County, KY. Of course, the simple style you commend is a hallmark of our CEO, Linda Waggener, who has a unique ability to take complex concepts and state them in understandable language. Great contributing writers and spectacularly gifted contributing photographers are heroes for us, too. Me? I'm happy to be the factotum
