Gov. Beshear appoints Cumberland, Monroe Circuit Judge

Kristi Renee Castillo will fill vacancy left by resignation by Judge Steve D. Hurt

FRANKFORT, KY - Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has appointed the Honorable Kristi Renee Castillo to the office of District Judge for the 60th Judicial District consisting of Cumberland and Monroe counties. Castillo will serve until the general election on November 2, 2010.

Castillo, of Burkesville, is currently an attorney in private practice. She previously served as the assistant Cumberland County attorney. Castillo received her Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville and her bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University.
