Obituary: Lovie Howard Kinnaird, 84, Metcalfe Co., KY

Beloved Metcalfe Countian, whose life epitomized Christian ideals, was an educator and church leader. She was a graduate of Jackman High School, Columbia, KY, and attended Kentucky State University in Frankfort, KY. A moving story of her life with husband R.T. Kinnaird by Geniece Marcum is at Lifetime Of Work And Success Shared By Kinnairds She will be buried in the cemetery she and her husband R.T. looked over for so many years, beside the church she faithfully served as Sunday School teacher, Beech Grove Baptist in Metcalfe County, KY -CM

Lovie Howard Kinnaird, 84, Edmonton, KY, died Sunday, September 6, 2009, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pmCT, Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at the Butler Funeral Home 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY. Burial will be in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 8, 2009, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.



She was the daugher of the late Emmitt and Velma Douglas Clark.

She is survived by her husband, R.T. Kinnaird, Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Linda (Leroyce) Barlow, Edmonton, KY; and Judy (Tommy) Walker, Bowling Green, KY

  • One brother: Lindburgh Clark, Indianapolis, IN

  • Two grandchildren: Danielle Barlow (Poppy Franklin) and Nickki Walker, Bowling Green, KY

  • Three great grandchildren: Jaden Franklin, tristan Franklin, and Nikos Ragland.
Besides her parents, she was preceed in death by two sisters, Lola and Opal Clark and one brother, Herman Clark.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions be made to the Beech Grove Cemetery.
Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
