2008 Adair Co. Baseball Banquet

On June 11, 2008 the Adair Co. Baseball team held their annual banquet.

Three seniors were honored: #3 Derek Cape, #20 Tyler Knight, and #12 Jordan Knifley.

The following varsity awards were given:


  • Highest Batting Average: Christian Talley
  • Most RBIs: Seth Dunbar
  • Most Runs Scored: Christian Talley
  • Most Hits: Christian Talley
  • Highest Fielding Percentage: Seth Dunba
  • Lowest Earned Run Average: Derek Cape
  • Most Wins: Derek Cape
  • Most Strikeouts: Derek Cape.
The following Junior Varsity awards were given:
  • Highest Batting Average: Jordan Blair
  • Most RBIs: Gee Young
  • Most Runs Scored: Joseph Grider
  • Most Hits: Jordan Blair
  • JV Pitching Awards: Jordan Blair and Will Rich
A special thanks was given to the following parents: Lee Grider, Troy Denton, Chad Bivens, Robbie Shelton, Linda McKinley, Tammy Burton, Darrell Cape, Jeff Dunbar, Bug Knights, and to all booster parents.

The Adair Co. Baseball program would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for use of the roadside park to hold the banquet.

The Adair Co. Baseball program would also like to thank the community for all of their support during the entire season. The program advanced to the regional tournament for the first time in nine seasons and with the talent returning along with the talent in our little league program the future looks very bright.
