Bardstonian appointed to KY Emergency Medical Services Board

Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed H. Joseph Prewitt, of Bardstown, to the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services.

Prewitt joins a Board with 18 seats, all appoointed by the governor The present board also includes Mayor Brenda L. Allen, Campbellsville, KY, and currently has several open spots.

Prewitt is the director of emergency medical services for Nelson County and is a licensed paramedic. He is a member of the board of the Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association and is certified in emergency medical training. He is married Eva Prewitt.<

The Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services certifies first responders and emergency medical technicians and licenses paramedics and ambulance services.

The board, attached to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, is made up of 18 members appointed by the Governor in conjunction with organizations recognized by state emergency medical services.
