Football: Adair Co. hosts Hart Co. Friday

By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer

The Adair County Indians Varsity Football team is back in action tonight as they host the Hart County Raiders (5-1). After a hot 4-0 start, the Indians hit a bit of a slide as the competition has hardened.

The Tribe certainly doesn't get a break with Hart County, as the Raiders' only loss is to Glasgow, who also defeated Adair County earlier in the year. Hart County is a heavy rushing team, with Jayden Chancelor and Darius Anderson being the names to watch for the Raiders carrying the ball. Both have posted over 600 yards rushing on the season. The rushing attack is the main weapon for Hart County, with their passing game accounting for just 210 yards on the season. One player to watch on the Raiders' defense is Tyren Anderson, who has been tormenting opposing offenses this year, posting six sacks and 12 tackles for loss on the season.

Tonight's game will get underway at 7pmCT on Friday, October 2, 2026, at ACHS Indian Field, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY. Tickets are $8 each and can be purchased at hometownticketing.com.
