ACSO: Property Tax Bills are in the mail From Sheriff Gary Roy Adair County Sheriff's Office Property tax bills have been turned over to the Post Office to be mailed out, so be watching for your tax bills. The Collection Schedule is as follows:
Our methods of payments are: personal check, cashiers check, money order, credit/debit card and cash. Reminder if paying with card, there will be a 3 percent charge for card payment. Also, if paying cash please bring the correct amount, for we are unable to give change. The auditors require us to make daily deposits, therefore we don't have the currency to make change. Sorry for the inconvience. If you choose to pay with cash, the receipt you receive will be your proof of payment, so I encourage you to hold on to it. There is a red drop box in the lobby at the Annex you can drop your payment off at, make sure your tax card is with your payment and please do not put cash in the box.
