Wanda Louise Blaydes Coffey, 84, Green County, KY

Wanda Louise Franklin Blaydes Coffey of the Little Barren Community, daughter of the late Homer Franklin and Dorothy Shelley Franklin, was born on Thursday, December 4, 1941 in Metcalfe County and departed this life on Monday, August 3, 2026 at her home. She was 84 years, 7 months, and 30 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Little Barren Separate Baptist Church. She worked as a secretary for Green County Farm Bureau for 28 years prior to retirement.


She was united in marriage to her first husband: Charles Blaydes who preceded her in death. She later married Willard Lee "Bill" Coffey on June 30, 1969, who preceded her in death on November 11, 2015.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Brian and Joy Coffey of Green County; a daughter and son-in-law: Pamela and Clay Jones of Indiana; five grandchildren: Anna Jade Coffey, Daynie Rose Coffey, River Lee Coffey all of Green County, Ross Jones, Reagan Jones both of Indiana; a brother and sister-in-law: David and Josephine Franklin of Metcalfe County; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by her daughter: Tammy Blaydes.

A graveside service for Wanda Coffey will be conducted at 4:30pmCT, Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at the Little Barren Cemetery.

Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River of the Little Barren Cemetery Fund which can both be made at the funeral home or at the cemetery after the service.
