By Anthony Keith, Respiratory Supervisor, TJ Health Columbia I began my journey with TJ six years ago at the height of the COVID pandemic. And those challenging times, working alongside some dedicated healthcare professionals really made a lasting impact on me. As an Adair County native, this day is deeply personal for me. I'm thrilled to help to bring this much needed cardiopulmonary rehab service to the community where I grew up. For far too long, patients have had to go elsewhere, drive long distances for the care that they needed. And being able to provide targeted, individualized rehabilitation to the people of Adair and surrounding counties is a dream come true. In my field, I get to witness patients come through our doors only able to walk maybe three minutes because of severe shortness of breath. And after a few weeks, they'll graduate to walking 30 minutes with ease. It's truly amazing. Today is not just about celebrating a new department. It's about investing in long term health and vitality and quality of your life for our friends, our neighbors and our families here at home.
