Your Adair County Public Library would like to remind everyone that April 12th is "Drop Everything and Read Day".

This day is to honor Beverly Cleary on her 90th birthday!

Please spend at least 30 minutes reading with your family sometime on this day in honor of Mrs. Cleary's birthday.

If you need something to read , stop by your library and ask for suggestions. Your library has just received some new children's' books which would be great for the occasion.

It would also be a good time to re-visit some of Beverly Cleary's characters such as Ribsy, Henry Huggins, Socks, Ramona Quimby and Beezus.

New children's books

  • Horse Shoes by Nancy Tuminelly

  • Goldfish Bowl by Mary E. Salzmann

  • Pig Pens by Pam Scheunemann

  • Cat Tails by Pam Scheunemann

  • Cow Licks by Pam Scheunemann

  • Goat Cheese by Kelly Doudna

  • Doggie Pants by Kelly Doudna

  • Rabbit Ears by Kelly Doudna

  • Rooster Coombs by Kelly Doudna

  • Knock Knock Jokes by Ima Laffin

  • Animal Jokes by U.R. Phunny
Your library will be closed April 14th and 15th for Easter. Happy Reading!!
