Salato Center Brown Bag Luncheon for birders April 12, 2006

Frankfort, Ky. - During the month of April, we celebrateNational Wildlife Week, Earth Day and Arbor Day. As we think about howKentucky's wildlife is our responsibility, the staff of the SalatoCenter wants to give you the opportunity to enhance the habitat in yourown backyard.


Join us as we continue our Brown Bag Lunch series fromnoon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 12. This month's topic is bluebird nestboxes.

Bring your lunch to Salato and listen to ornithologist Dr. WayneDavis discuss bluebirds and wrens. We will be building a bluebird housewhile you munch.

This program is open to all ages at a cost of $8 each.Pre-payment and registration by the day of the program are required.For further information or to register, call 1-800-852-0942 ext. 409.
You can also learn more about this program and other upcoming events byvisiting our website at fw.ky.gov. The Salato Wildlife Education Centeris operated by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.It is located three miles west of Frankfort on U.S. 60. The hours ofoperation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The Salato Center is closed onMondays and state holidays.
