ACSO: Falmouth man arrested for vehicle theft

A man from Falmouth, KY, was arrested after Adair County Sheriff Josh Brockman presented an investigation to the Adair County Grand Jury.

On or about January 9, 2023, the man stole a 2015 Dodge Ram 5500 truck from a local business. During the theft, a fence around the business was torn down, and the truck was driven through it. The truck was later recovered by the Danville Police Department and returned to the owner.


Shawn Hamilton, 28, of Falmouth, KY, was charged with:
  • Theft of a motor vehicle over $10,000
  • Criminal mischief 1st degree
  • Persistent felony offender
Hamilton is currently lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
