Fire destroys home on Prices Creek Road

The Adair County Fire Department responded Wednesday afternoon at 4:08 PM to a residential house fire at 1887 Prices Creek Road. Upon firefighters' arrival, the house was engulfed in fire and was a total loss.

The home was owned by the estate of Margie Dickson. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. There were 16 firemen on the scene for approximately 2.5 hours.

Breeding Fire Department also responded with automatic aid.

The winding picturesque Prices Creek Road is narrow but emergency responders made it through to help battle a fire that destroyed the Dickson home Wednesday afternoon near the Shirley and Dickson Cemetery.
