Shirley Carolyn Douglas, 83, Louisville, KY (1939-2023)

Shirley Carolyn Douglas of Louisville passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 at her home. She was 83 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11amCT on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East St., Edmonton, KY, with burial to follow in the Cosby Cemetery.


Born April 2, 1939 to the late Robert Wisman and Lora Shoemaker Wisman. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James Wendell Douglas, two brothers Bill Wisman, Glen Wisman and sister Betty Hall.

She is survived by her five children James David (Hally) Douglas of FL, Michael Wayne ( Roxann) Douglas of Louisville, Jerry (Dana) Douglas of New Albany, IN., Kevin Lee Douglas of Louisville and Anthony Mark (Wendy) Douglas of Bowling Green. Thirteen grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren.
