Congratulations to Renee Taylor, EMS Director By Chris Taylor, Chief, Campbellsville Fire Rescue Campbellsville Taylor County EMS Director Renee Taylor has been accepted to the Kentucky EMS Leadership Academy representing Campbellsville-Taylor County. She will be enrolled in this program over the next six months. The Kentucky EMS Leadership Academy, hosted by the Kentucky Office of Rural Health, provides EMS professionals from across the Commonwealth with the knowledge and skills needed to take on significant roles and responsibilities in their agencies, and to tackle crises both big and small. There is an exceptionally competitive applicant pool vying for just 12 slots, 2 per region. This year's academy will involve a mix of both face-to-face and virtual sessions, including: An introductory and live virtual session Six in-person training sessions covering a range of topics Budgeting and finance Conflict resolution Compliance and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act [HIPAA] regulations Resilience Just culture Employee engagement Virtual sessions providing one-on-one mentoring from a veteran EMS administrator Short assignments and group project We are proud of Director Taylor for getting accepted to this program and we know it will bring back knowledge and networking to deal with several key issues facing all EMS agencies in Kentucky.
