CU School of Theology graduate reception

By Gerard Flanagan

Campbellsville, KY - "Partners in an enduring fellowship." This phrase, one of the six core values for the School of Theology at Campbellsville University, is how Dr. John Hurtgen, the school's dean, described the candidates for pinning and hooding during the School of Theology graduate reception Dec. 10 in the Turner Log Cabin on campus.

"You have forged partnerships during your years here that have resulted in growth in your spiritual journey as well as fruitfulness in ministry," Hurtgen told the candidates. "As we talked before the formal ceremony began, all of you are excited about the next steps into new ministry positions, internships and further education.

"We are proud of you. We thank God for you."

Dr. Shane Garrison, professor of educational ministries, provided the opening prayer. Dr. Scott Wigginton, professor of pastoral ministries and associate director of Marriage and Family Therapy, closed the ceremony in prayer.

Candidates for pinning were William Harris of Scottsville, Ky.; Kaden Dickerson of Franklin, Tenn.; Andrew Ackermann of Carmel, Ind.; Hannah Greenfield of Princeton, Ky.; Chad Huff of Perryville, Ky.; Micah Lauer of Eugene, Ore.; Nathaniel Mills of Campbellsville, Ky.; Trevin Morris of Hardinsburg, Ky.; Joshua Pound of Louisville, Ky.; and Hannah Sanders of Harrodsburg, Ky.

Tamara Harp of Elizabethtown, Ky.; Jordan Harris of Radcliff, Ky.; Sarah Richards of Campbellsville, Ky.; and Haley Wohner of Louisville, Ky.
