Opal Watson, 89, Columbia, KY (1933-2022) Opal (Goode) Watson of Columbia died on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at TJ Health Columbia. She was 89 years old. The funeral service will be held at 10amCT on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Terry Shelley and Bro. Randy Young officiating. Burial will follow in Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation is requested after 4pmCT on Friday. She was born March 25, 1933, in Adair County, to the late Clarence and Nannie Hardin Goode. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. "Buck" Watson, her daughter, Linda Sue Watson Judd and two brothers, L.J. Goode and Richard Marshall Goode. Opal was a long-time member of Tabernacle Christian Church and later a member of Shiloh Christian Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher for years, a former merchant, Real Estate Broker and retired from the Adair County Health Department as a Clinical Assistant. She loved gardening, sewing, handwork, solving puzzles and cooking family dinners. Survivors include:
