Swimming: LWC Women in 2nd after day 1 of Fall Frenzy

The Lindsey Wilson women's swim team sits in second place following the first 10 events of the LWC Fall Frenzy. The Blue Raiders secured 346.50 points to trail Indiana Wesleyan who scored 431.50 points.

Maria Paula Escandon Lopez, Annissa Koekemoer, Savannah Schoeman, and Sara Motyl raced to a third-place time of one minute and 44.62 seconds.

Alejandra Martinez tied for third place during the 500-yard freestyle after touching the wall in 5:33.64. Motyl also produced a third place finish, doing so during the 200-yard IM, as she swam her way to a time of 2:16.61.

Azalia Gabdrakipova, Motyl, Natascha Evrinoff, and Lopez closed out the night with a first-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay. The pairing touched the wall in 4:09.62 seconds to narrowly claim the win over Indiana Wesleyan who touched the wall 0.20 tenths of a second slower.

Lindsey Wilson closes out action at the Fall Frenzy tomorrow when they compete in session two at 9amCT and session three at 3:30 p.m. CT.
