Letter: Vapor drift

Marie Freeman writes:
After research with crossbow the herbicide used by our county it should not be applied above 85 degrees. Reason? Vapor drift! This can cause the herbicide to drift up to one mile. The night after the application on my road we received torrential rain. I'm sure other than what I absorbed and inhaled washed away. Other than immediate damage the rest is systemic. And crossbow can remain in the soil up to 2 years!

Just read today monarch butterflies are now endangered. Reason? Herbicides! Perhaps any one in the county that feels as we do should invest in no spray signs. Even in theses trying financial times.
