LWC's Pilgrim Selected to 2022 Softball Canada National Team

Former Lindsey Wilson softball player Callum Pilgrim has been selected to the 2022 Canadian Women's Softball National Team.

Softball Canada and the Women's National Team coaching staff announced the Women's National Team roster last evening. The individuals that made the cut will compete at the 2022 Celebration Tour and Canada Cup International Softball Championship.


A total of 20 athletes will travel with Team Canada for Celebration Tour stops in Ontario (June 16-18) and Saskatchewan (June 29 to July 1) and the Canada Cup in Surrey, B.C. (June 20-26).

The athletes were selected by the Women's National Team coaching staff following a Selection Camp held in Brampton, Ontario this past weekend. The roster of 15 athletes for The World Games July 9-13 in Birmingham, Ala. will be announced by June 20th.

Pilgrim has been competing as part of Team Canada since 2015 when she was on the Junior Women's National Team for the 2015 Junior Women's Softball World Championship in Oklahoma City.

The Abbotsford, British Columbia native played as part of the Canada Elite Team at the 2017 and 2018 Canada Cup International Softball Championship, and debuted with the Women's National Team as part of Team Canada at the 2019 Canada Cup. She has also played at the professional level with the Canadian Wild of Southern Illinois in the National Pro Fastpitch League.

Pilgrim graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 2019, earning her degree in Physical Education & Health. With the Blue Raiders, she had a career .384 batting average and a .452 on-base percentage with 60 doubles, six triples, and 25 home runs in four seasons.

Her 209 hits, 212 runs, 60 doubles, and 205 stolen bases are all LWC program records. She sits inside the top-10 of the program record book in 17 different statistical categories. held on July 29.docx. Page 1 of 1
