Margie Lucille Kelly, 82, Green County, KY (1939-2022)

Margie Lucille Kelly of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Lenver Reid Smith and Montie Jewell Whitlow Smith, was born on Tuesday, July 4, 1939 in Metcalfe County, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at her home in Greensburg. She was 82 years, 10 months, and 20 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist Church. She was a machine operator for more than 30 years.



She united in marriage to James Royce Kelly on April 28, 1958 who preceded her in death on April 22, 2017.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda Lee and Larry Lobb of Greensburg, Linda Ann and Steve McGuffin of Exie, Laura Jean and Jim Taylor of Mell Ridge; six grandchildren: Kelly Darnell Grant of Columbia, Jamie Lee Lobb of Glasgow, Clarence Lobb of Greensburg, James Taylor, Aaron Taylor, Ashley Taylor all of Green County; six great-grandchildren: Tyler Grant and Rylee Grant both of Columbia, Damon Edwards, Haley Edwards, Lilly Taylor, Cash Posey all of Green County; a sister: Shirley Jean Martin of Metcalfe County; and a sister-in-law: Jane Smith of Metcalfe County.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Vermon Wayne Smith and Phillip Smith; two grandchildren: Johnathan Davenport and James Matthew Darnell.

The funeral service for Margie Lucille Kelly will be conducted at 12noonCT Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Danny Nelson officiating.

Visitation is after 7am Friday until time of the funeral service. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund which can be made at the funeral home.

PALLBEARERS: Kelly Darnell Grant, Jamie Lee Lobb, James Taylor, Clarence Lobb, Aaron Taylor, Ashley Taylor, Adam Grant.
