Kenneth Zaring Pierce, 82, Cumberland County, KY Kenneth Zaring Pierce, age 82 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was a member of Burkesville Baptist Church, a 47-year employee of Houchens Grocery in Burkesville, an employee of the Lake Cumberland Area Development District assisting with Senior Citizens, was a board member of LCADD and a former member of the Burkesville Fire Department. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was born on September 13, 1939 in Cumberland County, KY to Ernest and Media Firkins Pierce. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda Sue Bowen Pierce, four brothers, Russell Pierce, Everett Pierce, Irvin Pierce, Hubert Pierce and Cortis Pierce, one sister, Lureda Pierce, and his stepmother Inis Riddle Pierce. Survivors Include: Two Daughters- Dana Brewington and her husband Mark and Stacey Thrasher and her husband Tommy all of Burkesville, KY One Sister- Shirley Murphy of Burkesville, KY One Brother- Marcus Pierce of Burkesville, KY Two Grandchildren- Olivia Corbin(Trevor) and Gabrielle Thrasher(Logan Stinson) Special Friend- Phyllis Hurt of Burkesville, KY His Caregiver- Doug Groce of Burkesville, KY and a host of other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral Service will be Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 2pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Dr. Mark Shelton officiating. Burial in Burkesville Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 5-9. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Burkesville Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 246, Burkesville, KY 42717.
