William Thomas Compton, 77, Edmonton, KY (1944-2022)

William Thomas Compton of Edmonton passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Commonwealth Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green. He was 77 years old.

Graveside services for Mr. Compton will be held at 2:30pmCT on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Compton Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9amCT until 2pmCT on Saturday at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East St., Edmonton, KY.


Born November 16, 1944 in Metcalfe County to the late William Ed and Edith Katie Marshall Compton.

William was a farmer and member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

William is survived by three sons, Eddie Compton, Charles (Tabitha) Compton and Stephen Compton, all of Edmonton; two daughters, Kim and Bethany; a granddaughter Linda Faye Compton; three sisters, Magdline, Barbara and Mary; and several nieces and nephews.
