CPD: Meth arrest on Jamestown Street

On Sunday, March 27, 2022, the Columbia Police Department initiated a traffic stop on Jamestown Street near FiveStar just after 7pmCT.

During the stop, a female passenger was taken into custody, initially for an active warrant out of county. Subsequent search of the female suspect's property and the vehicle led to additional drug charges, because suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia were located by officers.


Bethany Stanziano, 48, of Columbia, was taken into custody with a failure to appear warrant from Cumberland County. She has also been charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine; a class D felony.

Officer Trevor Foster was the arresting Officer. He was assisted on scene by Officer Josh Durbin.
