ACSO: Adair Co. man arrested on methamphetamine charges By Sheriff Josh Brockman Adair County Sheriff's Office On Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 10:49pm, Sheriff's deputies arrived at a residence on Cape Road in the Melson Ridge Community to investigate a complaint. Deputies had received information that a man with outstanding warrants for his arrest in Russell County was hiding at the residence. The subject was located and taken into custody without incident. Methamphetamine with paraphernalia was found on or about his person. Jeffrey Helton, age 30, was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail by Deputy Derek Padget. Deputy Padget was assisted by Chief Deputy Brandon Hitch and K-9 Deputy Chandler Staten. This story was posted on 2022-01-31 08:22:21
