Next Giles House topic about quilts and quilting

Beverly England sends this news of an upcoming event at The Giles House on the subject of Quilts
The Giles Society and The Kentucky Humanities Council present Sandra Stabell who will talk about quilts and quilting in her presentation titled Fabric Footnotes: Kentucky Women and their Quilts at the Giles House on Spout Springs Road in Knifley.

The presentation will be held on July 9th at 10:00 A.M. Central Time. Bring a special quilt you made or someone in your family quilted, a picnic lunch, a lawn chair, and except to have a fun time, good time, and fellowship.

Come visit the new gift shop located in the Becky House. The gift shop has Janice Holt Giles books for sale, the new "Celebrating Janice" book published by the Foundation, the wonderful paper weights hand painted by local Columbia artist Lloyd French, pottery, and other great items that will make your visit well worth the visit! We have been busy over at the Giles house. Janice and Henry would be so proud to see all of you there!

For further information concerning this event contact Gayla Baker at 270-789-1713 or visit www.gilessociety.org
