CPD: Thursday morning heroin arrest

Columbia Police Department

The Columbia Police Department responded with Adair Co. EMS to Speedway on Bomar Heights on Thursday evening, January 27, 2022, to a call of an unresponsive male in a vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers and Adair EMS were able to wake the party and observed subject was under the influence.

After searching the male and a female passenger, officers located several syringes as well as suspected marijuana and heroin.


Raymond Garrett, 38, of Joelton, TN, was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance heroin.

Passenger Delorean Gibbs, 34, also of Joelton, TN, was charged with public intoxication and possession of marijuana.

Officers Joey Keith and Josh Durbin were the arresting Officers.
