CPD: Investigation results in fentanyl arrest

On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, officers with the Columbia Police Department went to a residence on Greensburg Road approximately six miles from the city limits. They served a sealed indictment on a male subject as the result of a drug trafficking investigation.

Officers on scene made contact with a Columbia man and him into custody.


Larry Shawn Phillips, 47, has been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance methamphetamine as well as trafficking in a controlled substance carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives.

Officer Justin Cross was the primary investigator for the case. He was assisted during arrest by Officer Holly Necessary and Sgt Evan Burton.
