Louise Harden, 85, Millerfield, KY (1936-2022)

Louise Harden, of the Millerfield Community, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Russell County Hospital. She was 85 years of age.

She was a member of the Millerfield Brethren in Christ Church. She also loved writing poetry and had a poem published in the Library of Congress. She loved spending time with her family and tending to her flowers. She was the type of person who always wanted to help others.



Born April 11, 1936, in Adair County, she was a daughter of the late Seathy and Gertrude Holt Shepherd.

Survivors include two sons, Nick Harden and Kevin Harden, both of Columbia; a daughter, Teena Fitchpatrick, of Greenwood, Indiana; a brother, Alan Shepherd, of Idaho; a sister, Agnes Beard, of Jamestown; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ray Harden; an infant daughter, Synthia Ray Harden; and six brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Louise will be held at 3pmCT Monday, January 10, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM, Monday, until time of services.
