Arvin Ray Wilson, 78, Russell County, KY (1943-2021)

Arvin Ray Wilson, fondly known as "Rabbit" since a boy, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Russell County Hospital. He was 78 years of age.

He was born on August 31, 1943, in Russell County, son of the late Avery and Flossie Frost Wilson. He married Joyce Tucker on April 18, 1964, in Jamestown. Arvin had been a cattle farmer all his adult life. He loved to farm, loved his cattle and loved going fishing. Arvin was a faithful member of Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and a Sunday School teacher. He adored his family; his wife, his daughters and his grandsons.



He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce; their daughters, Cynthia Tobin (and John Wise), of Richmond, and Sherri (and Jeff) Jones, of Hickory; his brothers, Jerry Wilson and Arlee Wilson, both of Indiana; his sisters, Louise Gibson, of Michigan, Irene Robertson, of Russell Springs, Joyce Haywood, of Somerset, Melanie Wilson-West, Kathy Williams and Jeanie Hudson, all of Russell Springs; his grandsons, Dustin (and Kalin) George, Devin (and Jenna) George, Jeremy (and Dalane) Coe, Hunter Jones, Nicholas Jones and Noah Jones; his great-grandchildren, Liam George and Kendall George; and additional half-sisters and multiple nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 12noon CT, Monday, December 27, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church Cemetery. Arvin's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 26, 2021, from 5-8.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5540 S. Highway 76, Russell Springs, KY 42642
