Gressette named LWC Football MSC Champion of Character

By Kyle Jackson

Joe Gressette of the Lindsey Wilson football team was named to the Mid-South Conference Champions of Character Team, conference officials announced on Tuesday.

The MSC recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes that are honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA.

Bethel's James Dixon, Campbellsville's Ethan White, Cumberland's Morgan Cates, Cumberlands' Jackson Norton, Georgetown's Brandon Burgess, Pikeville's Eli Stallard and Thomas More's Drew Bartolovich were all honored with the recognition.

Lindsey Wilson opens postseason play when they take on Montana Western in the NAIA Championship Opening Round at Parnell Family Stadium. Kickoff is set for Saturday at 12:30pmCT.
