Johnson and Brown selected to MSC Champions of Character By Kyle Jackson Meredith Johnson of the women's cross-country team and Noah Brown of the men's cross-country team were selected to the Mid-South Conference Champions of Character Team, conference officials announced on Wednesday. The MSC recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes that are honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA. On the women's side, Johnson is joined by Bethel's (TN) Jennifer Lopez, Campbellsville's (KY) Maggie Lockard, Cumberland's (TN) Aleksandra Petrova, Cumberlands' (KY) Lauren McHan, Freed-Hardeman's (TN) Allison Walker, Georgetown's (KY) Madelyn Waltmon, Life's (Ga.) Taylor Ward, Pikeville's (KY) Amber Moore, Shawnee State's (OH) Jozi Brown, Tennessee Southern's Briley Bain and Thomas More's (KY) Sarah Bertsch. On the men's side, Brown is joined by Bethel's (TN) Jonathan Herrera, Campbellsville's (KY) Collin Sheffield, Cumberland's (TN) Joel Barlow, Cumberlands' (KY) Kyle Woodward, Freed-Hardeman's (TN) Matthew Ray, Georgetown's (KY) Jaxon Downs, Life's (GA) Zac Wright-Fisher, Pikeville's (KY) Jaxon Blaine, Shawnee State's (OH) TJ Hoggard, Tennessee Southern's Azariah Kaplelach, and Thomas More's (KY) David Gilbert.
