Volleyball: LWC completes fourth straight sweep By Kyle Jackson Nashville, TN - The No. 21-ranked Lindsey Wilson volleyball team completed their fourth straight sweep of an opponent on Thursday night after defeating Fisk (TN) 3-0 (25-6, 25-12, 25-15). The sweep is the 15th of the season for the Blue Raiders. The Blue Raiders hit a .230 in the match compared to the Bulldogs -.067 on the night. Lindsey Wilson outkilled the Bulldogs 36-16 in the match with Fisk giving up 22 attack errors in the game. Radaisy Valdez led the way for the Blue Raiders recording six kills in the victory while Johanna Alcantara, Elizabeth Moore, and Alix Stoermer all had five. Camryn Rich had 26 assists in the match while Lauren Larzelere led the way in digs accumulating 11 in the contest. Lindsey Wilson opened the match with a dominant 25-6 set victory outkilling the Bulldogs 16-5 to open play. The defense was strong from Lindsey Wilson holding the Bulldogs to only six points, the lowest points total from an opponent in a single set this season. Into the second set, the score remained tight as both teams traded the lead early on. Eventually, the Bulldogs eight errors gifted the Blue Raiders with a comfortable lead that they added to with 11 kills to win the set 25-12. Into the third set, the hosts opened a bit of a lead, but the errors became even more of a problem for the Bulldogs as they went on to commit 10 errors in the set to help Lindsey Wilson to a 25-15 set win and 3-0 victory. The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team continues road play on Saturday, October 23rd when they travel to take on No. 12-ranked Life (GA). First serve is set for NoonCT.
