Hershel Lee Murphy Jr, 59, Casey County, KY (1962-2021) Hershel Lee "Esau" Murphy, Jr., age 59, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at his home. Hershel was a former hod carrier in the masonry business. He was a jokester and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He attended the 910 Full Gospel Church. Born February 13, 1962, in Somerset, KY, he was a son of the late Hershel Lee Murphy, Sr. and Rosalee Cochran Murphy. Survivors include his wife, Pamela Reynolds Murphy, whom he wed on May 1, 1999; sons, Jacob (and Breana) Murphy of Dunnville and Isaac Murphy of Liberty; daughters, Angela Holt of Jamestown and Betty Rodgers of Liberty; his parents, Hershel, Sr. and Rosalee Murphy of Liberty; brothers, Kevin Dewayne Murphy and Kent Alan Murphy, both of Liberty; sisters, Teresa Ann (and Mark) Holt and Lisa Michelle (and Joe) Cox, both of Liberty; 2 grandchildren, Brentley and Tanner; and his mother-in-law, Judith Kay Wilson of Liberty. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Jordan Lee Corn and Tristin Lee Murphy. Funeral services will be held at 11amCT Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 910 Full Gospel Church with Bro. Kelly Burton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-9pm on Monday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and on Tuesday at the Church after 9. Pallbearers will be Kent Murphy, Michael Holt, Kevin Murphy, Zach Murphy, Josh Wilham, Justin Murphy, Steven Wilson, and Robert Wilson. McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
