Letter: Robert Gilbert ring - Grissom High School

Sena M. Schaefer writes:
The request about the lost ring belonging to Robert Gilbert was interesting. This ring may be a commemorative ring given to football players after a winning season. Grissom High School may be the school in Huntsville, Al, with the formal name of Virgil Grissom High School, but is actually more well known as Grissom High School.

Research through Ancestry.com shows there was a football player on the Grissom team named Robert Gilbert , born about 1974 or 1975, who could possibly be the owner of this ring. I didn't have time to do any further research on the young man, but he seems in the correct age group to have played there in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Pictures of the football team list his name as one of the players. I hope this helps. --Sena
