Research through Ancestry.com shows there was a football player on the Grissom team named Robert Gilbert , born about 1974 or 1975, who could possibly be the owner of this ring. I didn't have time to do any further research on the young man, but he seems in the correct age group to have played there in the late 1980's and early 1990's.
