LWC Women's Soccer match with Indiana Wesleyan cancelled

By Christopher Coombs

Marion, IN - The No. 16-ranked Lindsey Wilson (0-1-0) women's soccer match with No. 11 Indiana Wesleyan (2-2-0) has been cancelled. Following two delays in the game due to lightning in the area, officials called the match during the 68th minute.

Due to the contest not making it past the 70th minute, per NAIA rules, the match will not count against either team's records. Stats from the match will also not count towards season totals.

The Blue Raiders trailed 3-1 in the 68th minute before the second lighting delay halted play indefinitely.

Lindsey Wilson returns to the pitch on Saturday, September 11, 2021, when they take on No. 9 John Brown on the road. The match is slated for a 7pmCT start.
