Glendo Popplewell, 90, Russell Springs, KY (1931-2021) Glendo Popplewell of Russell Springs passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Russell County Hospital. He was 90 years old. Funeral services are scheduled for NoonCT on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Billy Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 11amCT on Saturday, at Bernard Funeral Home, until time for funeral services. Born on April 21,1931, in Jamestown, he was a son of the late Larkin and Cora F. George Popplewell. Glendo worked as a farm hand most of his life and was known for farming with his mules. Survivors include his sister, Marie Badgley, of Russell Springs; and host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Glendo was preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert, Londo, Curtis and Donald Popplewell; and his sisters, Zilma Morton and Faye Stephens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Concord Cemetery c/o Jerry Morton. Glendo's funeral arrangements are entrusted to Bernard Funeral Home.
