LWC Volleyball back in action tonight at home By Brady Budke A quick turnaround has the No. 15 Lindsey Wilson volleyball team ready for another home contest at Biggers Sports Center tonight. The Blue Raiders will face Cumberlands (KY) beginning at 7pmCT. Last night, Lindsey Wilson easily downed Pikeville (KY) in three sets at home. Cumberlands last played on March 1, also taking down Pikeville in straight sets. The Patriots (2-4, 1-1 MSC) rank No. 1 in the NAIA in service aces per set (2.7), led by Jennifer Stein with 15. Stein also holds onto a team-high of 107 digs on defense. Lily Chapman guides the way with 81 kills on offense, averaging 4.2 per set. As for Lindsey Wilson (6-1, 4-0 MSC), the trio of Alexis Smith, Madison Bidwell, and Alix Stoermer continue the trend of consistency on offense. Smith leads the team with 82 kills, while Bidwell and Stoermer trail right behind with 79 and 67 kills, respectively. On defense, Lauren Larzelere has tallied the most digs at 117 for a 4.6 per set average. Live video and live stats will be available for this match.
