Ward talks about relationships with Jesus at CU chapel By Anastasia Gentry Campbellsville, KY - Jamie Ward, co-lead pastor of Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green, Ky., and a 1994 Campbellsville College alumnus, said "At its heart, Christianity is about Jesus" at Campbellsville University's chapel Feb. 24. Ward said he knows how it can be easy at times to lose faith. "Even if you're a believer or falling away from your faith, examine the person of Jesus," Ward said. He said people look at Jesus differently based on their religion, but Jesus is still claimed by major religions. Ward read a verse from the Bible saying: "He is the image to the invisible God the firstborn of all creation for by him all things were created in heaven and on Earth." Ward said, "All things were created through Jesus, and for Jesus." Ward said Christianity has become diverse within time. "As we look through scriptures and we see the life of Christ, and how he lived his life and the way he interacted with people, it's amazing. It's one of the reasons why Christianity is one of the most diverse moments in all of history," Ward said. Ward said to let all of the other distractions go, and focus on Christ, because Christ created us for himself. Ward read verse John 3:16: "For God so loved the world he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." "He loves you and he has a plan for you," he said. Ward said some of us might be having trouble caring about God, but he reminds us that even if we don't care, God will always love and care for us no matter what. "Whoever believes in him, would not perish but have everlasting life," Ward said. He said to always turn to God, for God said, "I'll never leave you or forsake you." "We live our life for an audience of one, and that is Jesus," Ward said. All chapels are televised on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10 and digital channel 15), streamed on Campbellsville University's Facebook page and wlcutv.com and can be found at\0x202Fhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGOyyKyrGBpSx8-uXa4NRtw.
