Roadside trash pickup - we can do this together

Adair County District 7 Magistrate Terry Hadley was commended by Judge Executive Gale Cowan for taking the initiative of roadside cleanup and encouraging others to join him.

In a brief time he picked up four large plastic bags of garbage on Green Hills Road in the space of approximately two city blocks.

He said, "If everybody would just work on roads in front of their own property, and the streets they travel, we wouldn't have such problems while we wait for a future budget to allow for employees."

"We can do this," he said, "don't throw it out, and if you see something, make time to pick it up." He has served 12 years as Magistrate, following in the footsteps of his Father and Grandfather.
