Nancy Ellen Burton, 69, Columbia, KY (1951-2021) Nancy Ellen Carter Burton of Columbia passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She was 69 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Scott Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue on Wednesday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. For the health and respect of the family, please follow all rules for social distancing and everyone attending will be required to wear a mask or face covering. Born December 29, 1951, in Ann Arbor, MI, she is the daughter of the late Clifford and Lola Pettyjohn Carter. Mrs. Burton attended Freedom Church of God and was a member of the Pure Gospel Quartet. She loved riding Off Road Side by Sides and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Jerry Burton of Columbia, KY; two children Tammy Burton Powell (David) and Scott Burton (Melissa) both of Columbia, KY; seven grandchildren Kyle, Jessica, Hope, Devin, Charlie, Autumn and Alex; two great grandchildren Elias and Elizabeth; two sisters Edna Davis and Carolyn Hamlett both of Columbia, KY and several other family and friends. Pallbearers will be Keith Anderson, Darris Anderson, Richie French, Kyle Powell, Charlie Powell, Justice Heath and Alex Magsam. The funeral service will be live-streamed on Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home Facebook page at 2:00pm Wednesday. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
