Carolyn Bagby Paxton, 80, Green Co., KY (1940-2021)

Mrs. Carolyn Bagby Paxton passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021, at the Baptist Health Louisville Hospice in Louisville. She was 80 years old.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Carolyn Bagby Paxton will be conducted at 1pmCT on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY, with Rev. Brad Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Greensburg Cemetery.

A walk-through visitation will be held from 10amCT on Wednesday until the funeral hour.



Mrs. Carolyn Bagby Paxton was born March 6, 1940 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Lindle and Dimple Blankenship Bagby.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Presbyterian Church where she served as elder. She was a hairdresser for over 50 years and served on the Greensburg City Council for 6 years. She was united in marriage September 23, 1961 to Stewart Paxton who preceded her in death August 8, 1984. Besides her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by one brother: Jerry Bagby.

She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law: Dixie and Larry Bishop of Greensburg; one brother and sister-in-law: Junior and Becky Bagby of Columbia; one sister-in-law: Gwynean Bagby of Greensburg; a special friend: Janie Casey of Greensburg; Plus, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers: Troy Bishop, Lisle Cheatham, Josh Ahern, Steven Olt, Sean Curry, Rudy Mitchell

Honorary Pallbearers: Greensburg Presbyterian Church Members and Family and Friends

The family has suggested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Hosparus of Green River or to the Greensburg Presbyterian Church and these can be made at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
