Gov. Beshear: More than 5,000 new cases in record daily report By Crystal Staley/Sebastian Kitchen Frankfort, KY - On Wednesday, Gov. Andy Beshear announced the highest-ever daily report of COVID-19 cases in the commonwealth and the highest positivity rate since May 5. "Today's numbers show how critically important a centralized effort and response is to defeating this virus," said Gov. Beshear. Before announcing today's COVID-19 report, the Governor released a statement on the events unfolding at the United States Capitol that you can view here: www.youtube.com. He said Kentuckians can watch his joint State of the Commonwealth and budget address tomorrow night at 7pmET via his Facebook and YouTube channels, where closed captions are also available.
