Reagan Turner is NAIA Player of the Week

Reagan Turner was named the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Officials at the national office announced on Tuesday.

The award comes on the heels of being named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week on Monday.



Turner averaged 22 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in two wins last week for the Blue Raiders.

The senior managed 18 points while grabbing six rebounds, and dishing out six assists in an 84-69 road win at Cumberland (TN) on Thursday night.

Turner then matched her season-high with 26 points on Saturday in an 80-63 win over visiting Freed-Hardeman (TN). During the game, Turner scored her 2,000th career point to become the third Blue Raider woman to reach the 2,000-point plateau. Her 2,013 points are 200 points from matching the program's all-time leading scorer.

It marks the third time in her career she has picked up the weekly honor.

The Blue Raiders return to the court on Dec. 31 when they travel to Georgetown, KY, to take on the Tigers at Noon CT.
