Turner is MSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

By Christopher Coombs

Reagan Turner of the Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team was selected as the MSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Conference officials announced on Monday.

Turner averaged 22 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in two wins last week for the Blue Raiders.

The senior bounced back from a slow first half with a solid second half en route to scoring 18 points while grabbing six rebounds, and dishing out six assists in an 84-69 road win at Cumberland (Tenn.) on Thursday night.

Turner matched her season high with 26 points on Saturday in an 80-63 win over visiting Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.). During the game, Turner scored her 2,000th career point to become to the third Blue Raider woman to reach the 2,000-point plateau. Her 2,013 points is 200 points from matching the program's all-time leading scorer.

It marks the second straight week Turner has been named the MSC Player of the Week as it is the sixth of her career.
