Thankful thoughts at retirement of LWC Campus Pastor

By Carol Weddle
Lindsey Wilson College Campus Pastor

Every time I walk across the campus at Lindsey Wilson College, I pray, "God, how do you love me enough to let me work here?"

Today is my last day as teacher and campus pastor, aka Campus Grandmother.

I have tried to do my best. I have tried to love each student with the love of Jesus. I have worked with amazing people and made lasting friendships.

I bought good candy for my candy bowl.

As I leave, I thank each student for making me a better teacher. Terry Swan for seeing gifts in me. Troy Elmore for putting up with me, David Calhoun for feeding me Kim's bread and always there for me, Bill Davenport for our long conversations, and Curt Lee for always encouraging one who never felt she was good enough.

The nursing department for allowing me to bless the hands of future nurses.

The education department for allowing me to be a part of their group (I had to have some women friends)!

To my Huddles who taught me love and the secret of hospitality. So many more not mentioned, thank you!

I'll be back to visit. My heart will always be there.
