Dale Shane Long, 57, Columbia, KY (1963-2020) Dale Shane Long of Columbia passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was 57 years old. Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jerald Bryant and Terry Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 3pmCT until 8pmCt, and will continue on Tuesday morning until time for the services. For the health and respect of the family, please follow all rules for social distancing and everyone attending will be required to wear a mask or face covering. Born February 1, 1963, in Hyattsville, MD he is the son of the late Henry Long, Jr. and Patricia Harrison Long who survives. Dale was a Sales Manager for Stephens Pipe & Steel, where he loved his job immensely. He enjoyed watching his children play sports, playing golf and hobby farming. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Bobbie Roy Long of Columbia; two children Reagan and Aiden Long; a brother Henry Long, III; five sisters Beverly Long, Laura Dittes, Brenda Holson, Stephanie Patten and Tricia Stellabuto; his father and mother-in-law Arville & Linda Roy; a special friend that he thought of as his son Caylen Dial and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brook Cochran, Charlie Newland, Jordan Veach, Jessie Roy, Roger Stockton and Greg Lawson. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Adair County Little League Baseball and Softball. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
