Betty Glahn, 73, Russell County, KY (1947-2020)

Elizabeth "Betty" Glahn, of Jamestown, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020, at Russell County Hospital. She was 73 years of age.

Born on July 3, 1947, in Wallkill, New York, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary Marr Carr. Betty was a mother, homemaker, and a registered nurse. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Betty also enjoyed flowers, gardening, and volunteering at the Holy Spirit Catholic Thrift Store.



Survivors include her husband, James "Jim" Glahn of Jamestown, whom she wed July 14, 1968; one daughter, Jennifer (and Philip) Nippert of Louisville; one son, Christopher (and Tina) Glahn of Cincinnati, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Ava Glahn and Nathan Glahn. Betty is also survived by four sisters; Barbara Carr of Baltimore, Maryland, Rosemarie Glover of Cortland, New York, Effie Carr of Tarboro, North Carolina, and Patricia Corfizzi of Montgomery, New York; and one brother, Kenneth Carr of Heniker, New Hampshire.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Maryellen Glahn; and a sister, Teresa Domenech.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 13, 2020, at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Jamestown with Father Joseph Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Jamestown Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pmCT on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Bernard Funeral Home. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial coverings are required.
