Join the ACES Family Health Challenge: Get Moving, Get Healthy!

By Debra Cowan

This has been a crazy year complete with many challenges. While many of those challenges have been stressful, Adair County Elementary School (ACES) is offering a POSITIVE CHALLENGE for families; a Family Health Challenge for the month of October.

Families that accept the challenge may request a kit of materials and information that will guide them as they try small daily health challenges. The challenges are simple, but when added up over 30 days, hopefully families can look back and say they were a little more active, ate healthier and enjoyed some time together. Families that complete the challenge are eligible to win prizes.

To join the challenge, ACES families can request a FREE Family Health Kit from the ACES Family Resource Center by calling 270-384-9112 or sending an email to debbie.cowan@adair.kyschools.us. Parents can also send a note to their child's teacher.

Kits will be available for pick up on the front porch of the school on Thursday, October 1, 2020, between 8amCT and 2pmCT, or can be sent home with students on October 1st or 2nd.

This activity is a collaborative family involvement event sponsored by the FRC, Title I, Camp SAFARI and community partners such at 4-H, Adair Health Department, WATCH Coalition and KY-ASAP.
